The Pottawatomie County Sheriff Office is investigating the theft of Trimble brand surveying equipment valued at $30,000.
On September 21st, 2012 a surveyor working in the 9000 Block of Junietta Road, Rt 5, Manhattan had set up a Trimble R8 GPS system alongside the roadway. The surveyor reported that at 11:00 a.m. he walked away from it for approximately 10 minutes and upon his return discovered it missing. Taken were the Trimble R8, a Trimble HPB 450 radio, a tripod, marine battery, black plastic case and cable.
