On Tabor Valley road, about one mile east of Pillsbury Crossing Road, at 1:45 a.m. Sunday morning, a one vehicle traffic accident took place.
Zachary Goldsmith (20), of Germantown, Tennessee, was driving his 2004 Nissan northbound on Tabor Valley Road when he lost control and entered the ditch and overturned.
There were five passengers in Goldsmith’s vehicle: Lane Giess (19) of Pierz, Minnesota, Luke Dyleski (19) of Tonganoxie, Victoria Utz (19) of Kansas City, Jessica Warren (19) of Kiowa, and Kayla McKinzie (19) of Bucyrus.
Gies and Goldsmith were the only two individuals wearing a seat belt. Warren and Utz were transported to Mercy Regional Health Center to be treated for injuries.
