    Marijuana-related Arrests by Riley County Police

    Three people were arrested following the execution of search warrants by the Riley County Police Department at  Gardenway Apartments and  the 100 block of East Poyntz Avenue in Manhattan. The warrants were in reference to the distribution of marijuana.

    Approximately 1 ¾ pounds of marijuana with a street value of $7,000 was seized along with drug paraphernalia and about 46-hundred dollars in U.S. Currency.

    Arrested were Charmaine Cardwell, 23,  of Denver, Colorado for possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, conspiracy to distribute marijuana, unlawful use of a telecommunication device, unlawful acquisition of drug proceeds, and no Kansas Drug Tax Stamp. Her bond weas set at $12,000.

    Also taken into custody was  Melton Diggs, 23,  of  Gardenway Apartments was arrested for conspiracy to distribute marijuana and other charges, with a $3,000 bond.

    And  Amanda George, 22,  of Gardenway Apartments was arrested for conspiracy to distribute marijuana with a $2,000 bond.
