The Manhattan High girls golf team advanced thru their 6A regional at Cypress Ridge in Topeka on to next week’s state meet. The Tribe finished second with a team score of 360 at regionals, and were 22 shots behind champion Washburn Rural. Derby also qualified for state in third place. Blake Fingalsen won the 6A regional with a 79 and claimed the gold medal. Kylie McCarthy was 7th with a 91, Kelsey McCarthy came in 9th with a 94, and Hannah Devane also turned in a 96.
The 6A state meet will be next Monday at Rolling Hills Country Club in Wichita.
