By KMAN Staff on October 2, 2012 K-State Sports

For the second time this season, K-State’s Kaitlynn Pelger is the Big 12 offensive player of the week.

Pelger opened the week with 13 kills and hit .600 against new Big 12 member West Virginia. She also added nine digs in the Wildcats sweep of the Mountaineers.

Pelger posted a double-double in Saturday’s win in Waco over Baylor, as she had a season high 23 kills and dug 12 balls. After dropping the first set, the Cats beat the Bears in four.

K-State will welcome the two teams picked above them in the Big 12 preseason poll to Ahearn Fieldhouse this week.  The Cats host Iowa State on Wednesday and Texas on Saturday.  Both matches will be at 7:00pm and the Standard Plumbing, Heating and Air pregame show begins at 6:30 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.
