Multiple charges land a local man behind bars.
Riley County Police told reporters Monday that Jason Dean (41), of Pennsylvania, was taken into custody just after 10:00 Sunday evening.
Dean had various warrants including one for failure to appear on a charge of sale of a controlled substance, as well as one for aggrivated battery and criminal trespass . He was also charged with sixteen counts of failure to register as a drug offender.
Dean remains confined on a $45,168 bond.

Riley County Police told reporters on Monday that two cases of forgery and theft may be connected.
On November 15th, an unknown suspect cashed a check at Hyvee, located at 601 3rd place. It was later determined that the check was fraudulent . Total loss in this incident was $1,169.
On Friday evening, a business check was presented for cashing at the same Hyvee location. The clerk became suspicious and did not cash the check.
Police are investigating both incidents.

A stolen watch in Florida ends up in Manhattan.
Riley County Police told reporters on Monday that old Joel Carmona (28) of Miami Florida reported to them that sometime between September 12th and November 21st of this year, a person known to him took a Hamilton silver watch valued at $1,480 as well as $120 worth of cash.
Upon investigation, police discovered that the watch had been pawned at Manhattan Pawn Shop, located at 431 South Fifth Street.
An investigation is ongoing.

Riley County police told reporters on Monday that they responded to a call of an unresponsive person Sunday afternoon.
When police arrived at 730 Osage Street, they discovered that Rawlings Racy Jr (59) was in fact, deceased.
The death does not appear to be suspicious, but since there was no clear cause of death an autopsy has been requested.
The investigation is ongoing.
