Volunteer Fall Clean Up is a Success

By KMAN Staff on November 4, 2012 Local News, Top Story

Nearly ninety K-State students met at Triangle Park on Sunday, November 4th in an attempt to clear an area of Manhattan of garbage.  The students split into groups in order to cover more ground, which was almost twelve square blocks. Some of these small groups assisted elderly residents and those who can not clear the garbage themselves.

The group was brought together by Manhattan Good Neighbors, which is a partnership of the City of Manhattan and Kansas State University. Manhattan Good Neighbors provides opportunities for students and permanent residents to build and maintain positive relationships
