WICHITA, Kan. (AP) Wichita police are sorting out the details in a pair of weekend homicides that occurred just a few hours apart.

The first took place around 9 p.m. Saturday, when 23-year-old George Vasquez was shot in the head after answering a knock at the front door of a home. A 28-year-old man was arrested after police found him outside arguing with two men who live at the house.

Police said Monday they were seeking a motive.

A suspect is also in custody the fatally stabbing of a 27-year-old man around 1 a.m. Sunday, after a fight broke out at a party. Police say Tan Nguyen died in surgery at a Wichita hospital.

Investigators say the victim was involved in a long-running feud with a brother of the 29-year-old suspect.
