    Wamego Wrestling Finishes As Runner-up in Sabetha

    The results have come in on the Tri-State Wrestling Invitational in Sabetha on Monday. Two schools from the KMAN listening area sent athletes to the meet including local schools Wamego and Riley County.

    The Red Raiders finished second as a team in the tournament with Riley County placing fourth overall.

    Wamego came home from the meet with three individual champions of the event. Jacob Dietrich won the 126 lb weight class, Alec Pierson won the 138 lb weight class, and Dylan Campbell finished first in the 152 lb weight class.

    Other teams competing in the tournament where Marysville, host Sabetha, Pleasant Ridge, Auburn, Bonner Springs, Atchison, Topeka Hayden, and Hiawatha/Horton.
