There has been another entrant for the election to the Manhattan City Commission. Daniel Hogan filed his declaration of intention to run for the commission late Friday afternoon. Hogan says that running for public office was something the he has always wanted to do, and had been an item on his personal bucket list. He made it clear that there are some things that he would like to see changed, but displeasure at the current city commission was not a reason for his running. Hogan says that he has a hard time saying that there are a set number of things that he wants to change, he believes instead that issues need to be handled one at a time as they arise.

One thing that he would like to see changed, Hogan said, was the city’s vicious breed ordinance in reference to dogs. He believes that there is no such thing as a vicious breed, just a vicious dog and irresponsible owners.
