K-State Women Fall at Texas Tech

By KMAN Staff on January 10, 2013 K-State Sports

K-State made a run at the beginning and end of Wednesday night’s road tilt at Texas Tech, but the Lady Raiders were more consistent over the entirety of a 59-50 victory over the Cats in Lubbock.  K-State jumped out to an 8-0 lead, but Tech closed out the half on a 27-9 spurt to take a 10-point lead into the break.  The Lady Raiders would push the lead to as many as 19 points in the second half before the Cats went on a 12-2 run to within 57-50 with 41 seconds left.  But, ultimately K-State ran out of time and Tech prevailed.  Freshman guard Bri Craig led the Cats (10-5, 1-2) in scoring with a career-high 18 points including three treys.  Kelsi Baker and Jackie Patterson topped the Lady Raider (12-3, 2-1) effort with 14 points each.

K-State will host new Big 12 member West Virginia on Saturday afternoon at 3:00pm.  Pregame from the K-State Sports Network begins at 2:30 on SportsRadio 1350 KMAN.
