Help Still Needed for Memorial Fund

    0
By KMAN Staff on March 22, 2013 Local News

As KMAN previously reported a memorial fund has been established to help cover the funeral costs.

However, there have been reports that a donor has come forward to pay for the entire thing.

According to Gina Brisby, the child’s grandmother, that is not the case at this point in time, which was confirmed by the funeral home director Friday afternoon.

But, according to Shane Lohse, the funeral director at Yorgensen Meloan Londeen Funeral Home he believes a group is working to gather up some money to help with the costs.

Lohse explained there have been a number of different groups who have invested in the funeral by supplying flowers, cemetery expenses and time and effort.

Though, Bisby encouraged some additional help as she stated whatever funds surpass the need of the funeral will be placed into a trust fund to help the boy’s brother who is 18 months old.

If anyone would like to donate they can send a payment to Kansas State Bank care of Dominic James Lubrano Memorial fund 1010 Westloop Manhattan Kansas 66502.

Donations can also be made to the Yorgensen Meloan Londeen Funeral Home in Manhattan.
