K-State senior outfielder Tanner Witt is the Big 12 Player of the Week. It’s the first career weekly honor for Witt and the first by a Wildcat this season. Witt was 8-for-16 with six RBI during the week and K-State swept Bethune-Cookman over the weekend along with a series split against Minnesota mid-week.  The Hawthorn Woods, IL native is now hitting .309 in 24 games, with 14 RBI’s, 29 hits, 14 runs scored, two doubles, and six stolen bases.  Witt also comes out of the outfield to close out games on the mound for K-State.  He earned the save in Wednesday’s 4-3 win over the Golden Gophers, and is tied for the Big 12 lead with four saves this season.
