The K-State men’s golf team posted their best finish at the Big 12 Championship since 2010 by coming in fifth on Wednesday afternoon at Prairie Dunes in Hutchinson. The Cats carded a team score of 51-over par 791 over the 54-hole tournament, which was cut back by Tuesday’s snow. Texas claimed the meet, and finished 32 shots ahead of K-State.
The Wildcats had two players finish in the top 15, including senior Curtis Yonke, who tied for 10th with an 8-over par 218. Sophomore Kyle Weldon tied for 14th place with a 9-over-par 219.
