
That announcement comes from U-S Attorney Barry Grissom, who announced Monday that Linda Miller, 51, had been sentenced in the Wabaunsee county case.
As KMAN news told you in January, Miller pleaded guilty to one count of bank fraud, admitting to fradulently submitting false documents to New Century bank of Manhattan in an effort to obtain a $200,000 mortgage loan. Miller told authorities she created documents falsely stating that a $65,000 second mortgage on her home in Wabaunsee county had been paid in full, and she filed false documents with the Wabaunsee County register of deeds.
Grissom commended the Wabaunsee county sheriff’s department, the FBI, and Assistant U-S Attorney Richard Hathaway for work on the case.
