After being named honorable all-America by the Associated Press earlier this week, K-State senior guard Brittany Chambers has been named a second team Senior CLASS all-American. An acronym for Celebrating Loyalty and Achievement for Staying in School, the Senior CLASS organization focuses on the total student-athlete and encourages students to use their platform in athletics to make a positive impact as leaders in their communities.
Chambers is joined on the second team by Jacqui Kalin of Northern Iowa, Kevi Luper of Oral Roberts, Anna Martin of DePaul, Jaime Printy of Iowa. Senior CLASS first team all-Americans are Layshia Clarendon of California, Elena Delle Donne of Delaware, Skylar Diggins of Notre Dame, Drey Mingo of Purdue, Chelsea Poppens of Iowa State.
Chambers joins former Wildcats Nicole Ohlde (2004), Kendra Wecker (2005), Shalee Lehning (2009) and Ashley Sweat (2010) as Senior CLASS All-Americans. Wecker captured the Senior CLASS Award.
