    Former Mustang State Champ Leads NCAA in Javelin

    Lizz HerrsFormer Rock Creek standout Lizz Herrs claimed three state titles and two Kansas Relays titles during her high school career.  She had the fifth longest javelin throw in the country during her senior year as a Mustang, and is now making similar marks at the University of Oklahoma.

    Herrs leads the entire NCAA as a freshman with a throw of 173 feet, nine inches on Saturday at the Razorback Spring Invitational in Fayetteville, AR.  With her performance, Herrs also now owns the third-best throw in program history at Oklahoma.
