TOPEKA, Kan. (AP) Gov. Sam Brownback has appointed a lawyer from McPherson to serve as a district judge for Harvey and McPherson counties.
John Klenda will replace Judge Carl Anderson in the 9th Judicial Circuit.
Brownback announced the appointment Wednesday, saying Klenda’s experience in criminal and civil cases made his a good candidate for the court.
Klenda is a partner in the law firm of Kastetter and Klenda and serves as the McPherson city prosecutor and McPherson County counselor. He earned his law degree at Washburn University.
