Former K-State wide receiver Chris Harper is going back to the Great Northwest as he was selected by the Seattle Seahawks in the 4th round of the 2013 NFL with the 123rd overall pick. The Wichita Northwest product spent his freshman season at Oregon, where he played quarterback and wide receiver before returning home for his final three seasons with the Wildcats. Harper was K-State’s leading receiver during his senior season at K-State with 58 receptions for 857 yards and three touchdowns as the Cats won the Big 12 championship. He was named 2nd team all-Big 12 by the league’s coaches, received the Most Improved Offense Player award from the K-State coaches, and played in the Senior Bowl in January. Harper finished his Wildcat career with 123 catches for 1,734 yards and 12 touchdowns.
