
Fred Goss was named Monday to the position, with Manhattan City Manager Ron Fehr making the announcement. Goss, who currently serves as Assistant Superintendent for the Missouri State Parks, was selected from an initial pool of more than 45 applicants identififed through a national search. Four finalists were announced last month, as previously reported by KMAN news.
Goss will begin his new role with the city of Manhattan on May first.
