A Lawrence man is served a new warrant while in custody in Riley County for unrelated charges.
Riley County Police told reporters on Monday that Walter Warren (38) was arrested at the Riley County Law Enforcement Center. The new warrant stems from charges of not having proof of liability insurance. Bond was set at $5,000 and Warren remains confined.

Various drug charges land a Council Grove man behind bars.
Wesley Roddy (21) of County Lane in Council Grove was taken into custody Saturday evening at 5:30. Roddy was charged with one count of possession with intent to distribute marijuana, one count of possession and use of a firearm in drug trafficking, and one count of possession of a firearm with an obliterated serial number. No bond was set, and he remains confined.

A Fort Riley solider is missing some equipment after his storage unit is broken into.
Riley County Police told reporters on Monday that sometime between January 1st and April 5th, a storage unit in the Amhurst Self Storage Complex, located at 200 Plymate Lane was broken into, and a large amount of military equipment was removed. The victim was Kyle Vontersch (22)
Suspects are unknown, and police are actively investigating.

An incident of criminal damage to property results in a significant loss to an Illinois resident.
Riley County police told reporters that they received a report that a 2002 Acura SUV was keyed while parked at the 600 block of Thurston sometime in the overnight hours between Friday and Saturday night.
The victim was Daniel Luse of Wheaton, Illinois. Estimated damages are $3,000. No arrests have been made and police are investigating.
Riley County police are investigating a case of burglary that took place over the weekend.

Police told reporters on Monday that sometime between 10:50 Friday night and 1:00 Saturday afternoon, an unknown number of suspects entered the mausoleum owned by the Wareham estate located at the Sunset Cemetery on the 2000 block of Leavenworth.
The door was damaged with a cutting instrument and the copper casing around the casket was damaged. The casket handles were also broken and it appeared as though someone had attempted to move it. It was also reported that a fair bit of marble in the tomb was damaged.
The damage is estimated to be $10,000 and police are investigating.
