    Police Blotter 4/9

    1.

    On Monday a traffic accident on Tuttle Creek Boulevard led to the hospitlization of four individuals.

    At approximately 5 pm monday evening a 2008 Nissan Titan driven by 33-year-old Claudia Martinez attempted to turn left into the southbound lane of Tuttle Creek Boulevard from Walters Drive.  Martinez was struck by 70-year-old Stanley Hoerman (whore-man) who was headed northbound on Tuttle Creek Boulevard in his 2010 Toyota Camry.

    Due to the accident all occupants of the Martinez’s truck were taken to Mercy Regional Health Center for their injuries.  Those riding with Martinez included  11-year-old Jerry Sanchez, and 8-year-old Carlos Sanchez.

    84-year-old Rose Hoerman was riding with Stanley Hoerman, and was also taken by emergency personnel to Mercy for her injuries.

    Claudia Martinez was cited by the Riley County Police department for failure to yield at an intersection.  Stanley Hoerman was uninjured in the accident.

    2.

    Riley County Police arrested a Manhattan man on a slew of warrants Monday afternoon.

    20-year-old Blake Lagabed was taken into custody on warrants stemming from the original charges of theft, contempt of court, and failure to report an accident.

    Lagabed is being held on a $6,234.

    3.

    A burglary has left a woman bereft of some of her high tech gadgets.

    According to Riley county police 37-year-old Sheryl French  reported a burglary of her residence near the 13-hundred block of Pillsbury Drive.  French says the incident took place sometime between 6 and 8 pm on Sunday.  Items reported stolen include a 50 inch LG TV, an Xbox, and a social security card.

    Estimated loss from the incident is over $1,000.  Police say the investigation is ongoing, and no suspects have been arrested at this time.

    4.

    A local business reported a high dollar theft of equipment to Riley County Police.

    Police say Countryside Manhattan Incorporated reported the theft of two air condensers, and a Coleman furnace.  The incident allegedly occurred sometime over the weekend, and estimated losses total $1,200.

    Officer Mathew Droge says the Riley County Police Department is investigating the case, but no arrests have been made at this time.

    5.

    A Riley County woman has reported a burglary to Riley County Police.

    21-year-old Destiny Neumayer-Walli told police that sometime on Saturday morning at around 2 to 4 am three individuals left her home, and she found a 7 inch Samsung tablet and other items missing from her residence.

    Estimated loss from the incident total around $1,000.  Police say the suspects were unknown to the victim, but there the investigators are working with descriptions of the individuals.
