Report: Bomb Threat Cancels LA Track Meet Involving K-State

According to a report in the Kansas City Star, 19 members of the K-State track and field team were preparing for a meet at Cal State-Los Angeles on Thursday afternoon when it was cancelled by a bomb threat. Campus was evacuated and afternoon classes were cancelled at Cal State-LA, and the Wildcats had to leave the track and walk back to their bus.

K-State coach Cliff Rovelto told the Star it’s the first time he’s had a meet cancelled like this in his over 30 years with the Wildcat program, and had to look for alternative meets for his athletes. K-State track & field has 24 other athletes in action this weekend at the Kansas Relays and the Mt. SAC Relays, also in southern California.
