According to Riley County Police there was a call for assistance by motorists on eastbound I-70 at mile marker 317 shortly before 8 a.m. Thursday. Seven vehicles were reportedly involved.
Kansas Highway Patrol Lt. Greg Harkrader tells KMAN troopers found evidence that some motorists lost control and slid off. However KHP did not work a single accident and only one vehicle needed to be towed out. The other motorists apparently were able to get off the shoulder or median on their own.
