    Several With Local Convictions Up for Possible Parole

    Several people convicted of area crimes are up for public comment sessions and possible parole the next few months.

    Ricky Perkins, 57, was convicted of rape in Geary county in 1979. He also was sentenced in connection with a 1993 case in Harvey county involving burglary. Perkins is up for public comment sessions in June, with the 17th in Kansas City City Hall, 19th in the Finney State Office Building in Wichita, and the 21st in the Landon State Office Building in Topeka.

    The July public comment list includes Joe Bowser,46,  Nathaniel Ellibee, 40,and Leonard Gibson, 56. Bowser is facing time on several Geary county convictions including aggravated battery, aggravated robery, theft, and robbery. Ellibee’s convictions were for second degree murder and two counts of aggravated robbery in Geary county. Gibson’s convictions were also in Geary county involving rape, aggravated kidnapping, and theft.

    The July public comment sessions are on the 22nd in Kansas City City Hall, 24th in Wichita’s Finney Office Building, and the 26th in Topeka’s Landon Office Building.
