    Update: The jury trial for a former Fort Riley soldier charged with the death of a Kansas National Guardsman has been delayed in Riley County district court for a couple of months. A spokeswoman indicates the Daniel Parker trial, which was to have started with jury selection Monday, was continued to August 19th due to unforeseen circumstances. Authorities indicated Monday there was a medical emergency involving one of the attorneys involved, Ron Evans..

    Parker is charged with the first degree murder of 21 year old Frederick Beverly on January first of 2012, outside a local motorcycle group’s clubhouse.
