By KMAN Staff on July 12, 2013 Local News

The 1st Combat Aviation Brigade, 1st ID, cased its colors on Friday morning in front of family and friends at Cavalry Parade Field.

Over the past 2 years, the “Demon” Brigade has been equipped with the latest Army helicopters and conducted a series of training exercises at the NTC in California, and JRTC in Louisiana.

Colonel Matt Lewis will transition the 1st CAB into the theater of operation throughout August, and will assume full command in September.
