    Manko Seniors Pass First Test at Zone

    The Manhattan Manko Senior 17ers scored nine runs in the first two innings, four more in the fourth, and six in the seventh to beat Atchison 19-9 in the opening round of the zone tournament at Leavenworth on Monday night.  Chris Klug led Manko with five RBI’s, while Josh Klug and Alex Huerta each pounded out three hits.  The Senior 17ers will face one of two teams from Leavenworth in the next round on Tuesday night, the Diamond Jaxx or Geiger.
