Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan announced a gift of technology today from Cox Communications. This $11,000 grant will be used to purchase upgrades to the Cox Communications Technology Lab which will supplement learning and tutoring at the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan 5th Street location. The technology will be used year-round at the Club for academic activities within programs as well as programs such as robotics.

The Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan has a mission to enable all young people to reach their full potential as productive, caring and responsible citizens. “By partnering with Cox Communications, we know that we will be able to inspire our members to reach new heights in learning through STEM Education (Science, Technology, Engineering, & Math),” said Junnae Campbell, Executive Director of the Boys & Girls Club of Manhattan.

“As a national partner with the Boys & Girls Club, we understand their mission and want to help ensure that all youth receive access to state of the art technology opportunities. We hope this gift will stimulate new learning at the Club while introducing programs such as STEM Education and Robotics,” said Marilyn Burrows, Senior Vice President and General Manager for Cox Communications Central Region.
