An Ogden man was arraigned on charges related to a death of a 6-month-old child in Riley County court on Monday morning.

Micheal Dechant is facing charges of first degree murder, and child abuse. Dechant plead not guilty to both charges.

According to authorities in March of this year Dechant shook 6-month-old Dominick Lubrano, his girlfriend’s child, which resulted in serious head injuries and death.

Dechant’s trial is set to start on December 6th, and last through the 13th in Riley County Division III court.
