    Inactive Grenade Found at Goodwill

DERBY, Kan. (AP) Workers at a south-central Kansas thrift store found an inactive hand grenade in a box of donations.

The Wichita Eagle reports that workers at the Derby Goodwill Store found the grenade Wednesday.

Police Chief Robert Lee says store employees called police and reported finding what appeared to be a hand grenade. Police responded but were unable to determine if the explosive was live, so they called the bomb squad.

The store was shut down for about an hour until crews determined the grenade was a dud and disposed of it.
