K-State opened up Bill Snyder Family Stadium for the Fall Football Kickoff event Saturday, giving fans a chance to see an hour of practice.

An autograph session followed the practice and Coach Snyder addressed the crowd along with team captains. Some observations from practice:

    – OL Cornelius Lucas and WR Torrell Miller were two noticeable absences today. No word on whether or not either was injured. Coach Snyder skipped over each name while introducing the seniors to the crowd.

    – QB Daniel Sams was practicing and took part in every drill that QB Jake Waters did. Appeared to have a slight limp towards the end of the practice session.

    – Two junior college transfers that weren’t at media day a few weeks ago were practicing on Saturday. Both LB Dakorey Johnson and DT Chris Brown were on the field.

K-State kicks off the season on Friday, August 30th against North Dakota State. Pregame coverage on 1350 KMAN and 101.5 KROCK starts at 3:30 with Powercat Gameday.
