It’s day two in a Riley County District Court attempted rape case involving a child under 14. The jury trial got started Tuesday for 29 year old George Ferenz, who was a Fort Riley soldier at the time of his arrest last October. Jury selection began Tuesday morning
Ferenz, who had been living in Manhattan, also faces charges of aggravated indecent liberties with a child and aggravated criminal sodomy. The alleged incidents reportedly occurred last fall. Ferenz had been serving with the 234th Armor Division at Fort Riley.
