After a winless Big 12 record in their debut a year ago, West Virginia won their second league opener over K-State on Friday night in Morgantown, 25-16, 18-25, 25-22, 25-22.  The Cats hit just .077 for the match and were led by 10 kills from Kaitlynn Pelger.   Tristan McCarty topped the Cats with 11 digs, while Katie Brand dished out 35 assists.  Taylor Johnson tied her career high with nine blocks.  West Virginia (14-1, 1-0 Big 12) had three players reach double digit kills, led by Hannah Sackett with 15.

K-State (12-2, 0-1) will make their Big 12 home debut on Wednesday night in the Dillons Sunflower Showdown against Kansas.  First serve at Ahearn Fieldhouse will be at 7:00, and pregame gets underway at 6:30 on NewsRadio 1350 KMAN with Rob Voelker.
