A big block and nine kills from Dakota Kaufman led K-State volleyball to a straight sets victory over Arkansas on Friday night in Fayetteville, 25-23, 25-18, 25-17. The Wildcats overcame a 6-1 deficit in the first set, and were able to rally thanks to 12 Razorback attack errors, brought on in part by 5.5 K-State blocks. It was a different story the rest of the way as K-State built leads of 10-4 and 14-4 in each of the final two sets to roll to the victory.

Kaitlynn Pelger contributed a Wildcat season-high with nine blocks to go with her seven kills. Courtney Traxson had six stuffs, and Kaufman had five. Pelger also led K-State (10-1) with 10 digs. Arkansas (6-4) was topped in kills by Breana Jones with 10. The Cats held the Razorbacks’ leading hitter, Meredith Hays to a negative hitting percentage and just 8 kills. Hays entered the match 16th in the NCAA in kills.

K-State will face Saint Louis on Saturday afternoon at noon in Fayetteville. Pregame begins at 11:30am on NewsRadio 1350 KMAN.
