After taking a 25-14 loss in set one, K-State volleyball responded by claiming the final three sets over Tulsa on Tuesday night at Ahearn Fieldhouse, 25-23, 25-22, and 25-16.  Kaitlynn Pelger led the Cats with 11 kills, but the match turned once her teammates got involved in the offense.  Dakota Kaufman and Natali Jones each contributed nine kills, while Courtney Traxson had seven. Jones hit her career high in kills, and led K-State with four blocks.  The trio of Tristan McCarty, Katie Brand, and Lilla Porubek each had 13 digs.  Brand also contributed 38 assists.  Tulsa (6-2) helped the Cats by committing 31 hitting errors, and were led by Valerie El Houssine’s 15 kills.

K-State (7-0) will take their undefeated record to the west coast this weekend as they’ll play in Cal-Berkeley’s tournament.  First up for the Cats is Santa Clara at 6:30pm central time on Thursday night, and pregame begins at 6:00 on NewsRadio 1350 KMAN.
