    Man Faces Charges In Manhattan, JC Homicides

    According to the Riley County Police Department, a 3rd person has been arrested in connection with the September 8th murder of John Burroughs,68, of Manhattan.

    Anthony Stephen Nichols, 33, of  Kansas City, Kansas was arrested at approximately 4:00 PM on Friday and charged with first degree murder, by the Riley County Police Department Investigations Division and the Junction City Police Department.

    Nichols was also arrested on Wednesday night in connection with the September 7th murder of Anthony D. Nixon.

    Nichols was also charged with Aggravated Robbery, and is being held at the Geary County Jail in lieu of $1,000,000.00 bond.

    The Riley County Police Department made the arrests with assistance from the Kansas City Kansas Police Department, Junction City Police Department, and the Kansas Bureau of Investigation.

    Full investigations into both cases are ongoing.
