The K-State volleyball team not only won their home tournament, but they swept all three matches in convincing fashion including a 25-11, 25-20 and 25-15 victory over Siena in the finale on Saturday afternoon at Ahearn Fieldhouse.  Courtney Traxson and Kaitlynn Pelger each had eight kills to top a balanced day for the Cats.  Redshirt freshman setter Katie Brand was named the K-State Invitational MVP as she had 27 assists, five digs, three blocks, three aces, and two kills against the Saints.  Pelger and Dakota Kaufman also made the all-tournament team.  Kaufman posted 11 kills in two matches on Friday against Southeast Missouri and Southern Illinois, and had five kills, nine digs, and three blocks on Saturday.  Gina Madonia subbed in at libero for Tristan McCarty and led K-State (6-0) with 16 digs.  Siena (1-5) was led in kills by all-tournament team member Rachel Stoklosa with 10.

K-State volleyball will play four matches in five days next week starting with a home date against Tulsa on Tuesday.  First serve will be at 6:00pm at Ahearn, and pregame begins at 5:30 on NewsRadio 1350 KMAN.
