OLATHE, Kan. (AP) A 44-year-old man has been charged with beating another man to death in Olathe.
The Kansas City Star reports that Brian Dale Pittman, of Olathe, is charged in Johnson County District Court with voluntary manslaughter. The victim, Arthur Wilson Cattlett Jr., 56, was unresponsive when police found him on Sept. 29.
Prosecutors allege in court documents that Cattlett was beaten, kicked and stomped during a “sudden quarrel or in the heat of passion.”
Court records show Pittman was arrested Tuesday and his bond was set at $1 million. It’s not immediately clear if he has an attorney.
