The Wamego Police Department released information Tuesday about an arson that occurred at the City Park Train Station on late Monday night.
While on patrol, Officer Derek Gray noticed smoke coming from Wamego’s City Park. Officer Gray determined that a fire had been set inside the men’s restroom, located in the train station on the north side of the park.
The fire and smoke caused significant damage to the interior of the bathroom, however a specific dollar amount is unknown at this time.
The Wamego Police Department is offering a reward for information leading to an arrest in this crime.
