    K-State Volleyball Sweeps Oklahoma

    Kaitlynn Pelger posted 17 kills and Courtney added 13 as K-State volleyball took down #25 Oklahoma in straight sets, 25-22, 29-27, 25-22 on Sunday night at Ahearn Fieldhouse.  The Cats hit with a .266 offensive efficiency as a team against the Sooners, including a clip of .441 in the opening set.  As individuals, Pelger hit .481 and Traxson hit .391.  Katie Brand dished out 38 assists, and also led K-State (15-7, 3-6) with eight digs.  Chelsea Keating had a career-high five blocks, including two solo stuffs.  The Cats served up five aces, including two from Pelger.  Oklahoma (18-6, 6-4) was led by 13 kills from Sallie McLaurin, who hit .423.

    Just like K-State football, the Wildcat volleyball team has a trip to Lubbock to face Texas Tech next on its schedule.  First serve on Wednesday night will be at 6:00pm against the Lady Raiders at United Spirit Arena.  Pregame begins at 5:30 on NewsRadio 1350 KMAN.
