Veteran’s Day began with the Armistice Day that came at the end of World War I. Today, we use it as a time to show support for those who have served in the military and those who are and will. On Monday November 11, 2013, an array of events took place in Manhattan put on by the Flint Hills Veterans Coalition.
To start the morning was a breakfast, followed by the Veteran’s Day Honor Parade, then a Commemorative Program and ending with a Recognition Honors Banquet.
