    Foster Tabbed Big 12 Newcomer of the Week

    The rest of the league and the nation is starting to take notice of K-State freshman guard Marcus Foster as he was named the Big 12’s Newcomer of the Week.  Marcus FosterFoster tallied 17 points in leading the Cats to a 74-71 victory over #6 Oklahoma State on Saturday at Bramlage Coliseum.  The Wichita Falls, Texas product grabbed an impressive eight rebounds against the Cowpokes, and dished out two assists.

    Foster also netted 15 points, plus had three rebounds and three assists in K-State’s 72-55 victory over George Washington on New Year’s Eve.

    This was K-State’s first weekly honor from the Big 12 this season.  Iowa State guard DeAndre Kane was named the league’s player of the week for the second straight time.
