Manhattan High boys basketball head coach Tim Brooks won’t be on the bench for the Indians’ game tomorrow night at Emporia, according to MHS administrators.

“At this time, the team is under the direction of Shane Sieben and Benji George while administration deals with a personnel issue,” Manhattan High athletic director Mike Marsh said. “I have total confidence in their abilities.”

MHS officials gave no details about what will happen beyond the game tomorrow against the Spartans. Brooks confirmed to KMAN that he’s been suspended until at least Tuesday.

Brooks, who is in his tenth season at MHS, has guided the Indians to a 7-4 start in 2013-14. Tip off for tomorrow’s game with Emporia is scheduled for 7:45 p.m. at Emporia High School.
