A third person has been arrested in connection with this incident. At 4 p.m. Thursday, Junction City Detectives arrested Larry Lamathis Anderson, 25, of Manhattan, and charged him with 1stDegree Murder, Aggravated Kidnapping and Conspiracy. He was booked into the Geary County Jail and will have his first appearance in Geary County District Court on Friday.
The body of a Junction City woman reported missing earlier this week has apparently been found in a remote location in rural Geary County.
Amanda Clemons, 24, had been reported missing Monday, and had last been observed being placed in a silver vehicle occupied by four other people. While her identity has not been verified, the victim matches Clemon’s description.
Junction City Police Chief Tim Brown says two people have been arrested in connection with the case. Marryssa Middleton, 22, of Colorado faces charges of first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and conspiracy. Drexel Woody, 23, of Fort Riley also was arrested, with charges of aiding and abetting a first degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, and conspiracy. The two are scheduled for first appearance in Geary County District court Friday.
JCPD and Federal Bureau of Investigation agents developed information Wednesday that led them to execute a search warrant on Fort Riley in reference to the investigation. Subsequent interviews conducted by detectives and agents throughout the day led law enforcement to the previously mentioned remote location in Geary County.
An autopsy has not yet been scheduled.
