Garrett Olson (22), of Leonardville, was charged with involuntary manslaughter after the fatal accident back in October, where Trevor Redding (17) died.
As KMAN previously reported, Olson was arrested last month, but made his first court appearance Tuesday afternoon.
Olson appeared in front of Judge William Malcolm for a status hearing, where his case was set for preliminary hearing.
The hearing is expected to last all day, starting at 10 a.m. Friday, April 4th.

Four felony drug charges, and one misdemeanor, resulted in the arrest of Tyson Strauss (29), of Leonardville, late last year.
Strauss appeared in court for a status hearing Tuesday afternoon. His case was set for preliminary hearing on March 14th, and will be in front of Judge William Malcolm.
Strauss will be required to continue paying his bond of $18,000.
