Just three weeks after national signing day, K-State football has secured its first commitment for the 2015 recruiting class.

Hays High quarterback Alex Delton accepted the only scholarship offered so far to a K-State recruit for 2015.  Delton announced the news via his Twitter account on Tuesday.

I HAVE JUST COMMITTED TO ATTEND & PLAY FOOTBALL AT KANSAS. ST UNIVERSITY!! #EMAW #ALLin

    — Alex Delton (@adelton005) February 25, 2014

The 6-foot 185-pound Delton is ranked as Rivals.com’s #13 dual threat quarterback in the country, and is on the Rivals 250 to watch list. The junior hadn’t been offered a scholarship by another school, but was being courted by Missouri, Nebraska, and West Virgina. LSU, Minnesota, Notre Dame, Oklahoma State, Oregon, Penn State, TCU and Tennessee also had shown interest in Delton.
