With a 22-2 record and yet another trip to the 3A state tournament, it was a season to remember for the Riley County girls basketball team. The Falcons placed four players on the all-TVL first team with seniors Taylor Oliver, Katelyn Thomson, Madison Vargo and Makayla Vargo. Fellow senior Heidi Prockish received honorable mention. Rock Creek had two girls named all-Mid-East League, Morgan Feldkamp on the first team, and Sarah Altenhofen with honorable mention.

The Rock Creek boys made it back to the 3A state tournament for the second time in three years, and four Mustangs earned all-Mid-East League honors. Senior Ryan Schneider, and sophomores Carson Becker and Jared Garcia are on the first team and junior Nate Berard got honorable mention. Riley County juniors Trace Nelson and Bryce Brummett both were selected first team all-Mid-East League.

With a state championship under his belt, Frankfort’s Lucas Adams earned one last honor as he was named to the all-Twin Valley League first team following his senior campaign. Blue Valley leading scorer Zach Rootring was tabbed second team all-TVL.

Frankfort also placed two girls players on the all-TVL second team in seniors Ashley Joseph and Ariana Martin.
