Colton Kalmus and four relievers combined for a two-hitter in a 4-0 shutout of Air Force on Wednesday afternoon at Tointon Family Stadium.  Kalmus, a redshirt freshman, earned his first win as a Wildcat, without giving up a hit and striking out four in three and two thirds innings. Landon Busch, Jake Fromson, Ethan Landon and Jake Matthys finished out the game on the mound for K-State.
R.J. Santigate and Mitch Meyer each had multi-hit efforts for K-State, and Ross Kivett scored a pair of runs.  Santigate, Shane Conlon and Clayton Dalrymple all knocked in runs.
K-State opens Big 12 play at Oklahoma on Friday night at 6:00pm.  Coverage on NewsRadio 1350 KMAN begins at 5:30 with the BD4 Distributing/Cary Company pregame show.
