While numerous accidents were reported in the Riley county area Monday due to snowy, slick conditions, the Kansas Highway Patrol only reports one injury accident, on highway 77 just south of Randolph.

Bradi Jensen, 21, of Wamego and Calvin Shaneyfelt, 24, of Albuquerque,New Mexico were both taken to Mercy Regional Health Center following the two vehicle accident. Jensen is still listed as a patient at Mercy but Shaneyfelt is not.

Jensen was driving a 2002 Honda southbound, with Shaneyfelt driving a 1996 Subaru northbound, when Shaneyfelt lost control and spun his vehicle into Jensen’s Honda. Both were wearing seatbelts.

The accident was reported at 8:30 Monday morning.

Riley County Police reported injury accidents at 17th and Fairchild and on the off-ramp of I-70 at Deep Creek Road.  Five non-injury accidents were reported Monday, and four other accidents with damage over one-thousand dollars.
